MMeM, S18E4 – It’s stuck

This week, Apple announced the end of a 20 year run for the iPod. But, like so many pop-culture phrases and words, the POD will never die. We’re stuck with it.

How many PODCASTS are there today? Too many to count, but we’ll call the non iPod recordings Podcasts forever now.

It’s like the Watergate Hotel. Everything involving conspiracies, mishaps, or failed espionage efforts is forever a “GATE”.

POD. It’s a simple word that I always associate with peas or a group of whales maybe. But, it doesn’t even stop with Podcasts, I mean there are “AirPODs”. How did we get from iPods to putting Pods in your ears?
