MMeM, Vol. 9 Issue 78 – So Close

Of course, who would you guess died first ?

I realize that most don’t understand where I’m coming from and that’s fine. But this story really struck me. Maybe one day you’ll understand better, maybe not. Look, marriage really work for some humans, others, not so much.

Either way, I really feel for this guy. I do. If I lived closer I’d go or had gone to his funeral. 11 hours. He came within 11 hours of becoming free. Perhaps he spent his 11 hours in heaven being introduced to his pre-marriage self? Wishful thinking, I’m sure.

New Picture (1)

This couple had 11 hours separated after 65 years of marriage. 65 YEARS! Can you believe that? I’m so “hApPy” for them, I think.

Of course, who would you guess died first? Yeah, that’s right, it was the husband. Meanwhile, the wife had 11 hours of freedom. Somehow I feel like this should relate to that old over used Christian phrase about how one can repent and accept Jesus in the “11th hour”, but I’m not feeling the specifics yet.
