MMeM, Vol.12 Issue 8 – Wah-LAH!

Who came up with this?

If you’re at all like me, you’re watching the 2016 NCAA Tournament Final Four this weekend with NO PRESSURE whatsoever after having your brackets completely destroyed weeks ago. When you think about it, it’s one of the blessings of having such obliterated brackets so early on in the process. That way when this weekend comes you can sit back and enjoy the Final Four weekend like a true spectator and just take in all of the pageantry and competition while laughing at those still “in” bracket competitions as they rue the demolition derby being conducted by Sooners or whomever.

Moreover, talk about taking in the spectacle of the events how about the light and graphic show on the court during the line-ups before the game? Now that stuff is pretty impressive.

Certainly more impressive than some of the other graphics being sported on the broadcast. Who came up with this?

What exactly was the thinking here?

Let’s see, we are in the 4K HDTV Widescreen Television era so let’s set the table with a huge full screen graphic before the next to the last game using the smallest font to show who has JUST earned a place in the title game for Monday night. Oh, and I want to see 80% BLACK SPACE on the entire screen.

Wah-LAH. DONE!
