N<\/span>ot\u00a0that this should really surprise anyone, but today’s “kids” aren’t sure what the saying, “the pot calling the kettle black” even means. I’m not lying, this statement is based on empirical evidence I collected last night listening to “youth” (youth= 20, 21). So of course, this got us thinking that today’s kids need some saying for “the pot calling the kettle black” which is more ‘with the times’.<\/p>\n

Yeah, we got this:<\/p>\n

• Palm pilot calling the flip phone “out of date”<\/li>\n
• Mobile phone calling the land line “daisy cups and string”<\/li>\n
• NES Tecmo Bowl telling Madden NFL 06 “your graphics suck”<\/li>\n
• Snail mail calling the email “slow”<\/li>\n
• Copy machine telling the fax machine, “you’re SO old”<\/li>\n
• MySpace calling Facebook, “out of date”<\/li>\n
• Analog clock telling the Grandfather clock, “You’re out of the times”<\/li>\n
• Alarm clock telling the Rooster, “you’re a thing of the past”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  I mean, can you believe that we used to use these devices where you had to use a fake pen to work them? (palm pilot).<\/p>\n

  Snail mail. And, we still act “all shocked” every time\u00a0stamps go up by $.02 cents. Oi vey! And, Facebook? Talk about setting it and forgetting it! Gee, why don’t you start one of those old BLOGS?<\/p>\n

  Moreover, the kids today were quicker to gasp at the word “black”. Sorry kids, that’s like, “the pot calling the kettle African American.” To be fair, if kids today have seen “The Hobbit<\/a>” or one of the “Lord of the Rings<\/a>” movies, then they might understand a pot or a\u00a0kettle is a cooking instrument\u00a0although I highly doubt it.<\/p>\n
