W<\/span>ith today being Selection Sunday for the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament, I usually try no to watch any games very closely. Over the years, I have noticed that inevitably I will fill out brackets with picks that happen from having recently watched a particular team’s game. That’s a mistake I’ve finally noticed. It only took me about 25 years.<\/p>\n

But, I broke my newly established rule yesterday when I happened to watch some of the Big10 Conference Tournament. I’m glad I did because I saw something I never would have imagined.<\/p>\n

All 15 players for the Michigan State Spartans team apparently have the same last name AND it’s “Spartans”! What are the chances of that?<\/p>\n

Team names on the backs of jerseys where MOST teams put players’ last names or nothing at all.<\/p>\n
