E<\/span>mails. I know it’s an old person vehicle these days. However, I had always looked at getting email like this, I never cared about getting email or getting too many emails, because it takes fractions of a second to dispose of them. Plus, deleting emails can feel like a false sense of accomplishment. In short, I never hesitated when being approached about signing up for a company’s email or a friend’s email list.<\/p>\n

Of course, every once in a while there are emailers who get a little click happy. When this happens, it’s time to cease the relationship so-to-speak. Lately, I go to unsubscribe and think it’s all done like the thousands of times before with other merchants. But OH NO! What is this asking for my URGENT attention regarding an UNSUBSCRIBE REQUEST? Lately, in my SPAM folder I have noticed a new form of retention activity.<\/p>\n

Thank goodness Gmail recognizes this meaningless last grasp pleas of beggars for what they really are, SPAM. So now, even email has taken away my one small act of cathartic false sense of accomplishment by causing me pain when I decide to stop that false accomplishment routine. UGH!<\/p>\n
