It&#8217;s going a bit better than I had anticipated. Today I ventured over to the Sangamon Valley Trail or SVT which kind of sounds like an STD, but I digress. Like one can find in most areas today, it&#8217;s a converted railway track that is now a biking and walking trail.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3163\" src=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23c.jpg 448w, https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23c-300x166.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s nice I guess, if you need practice on spotting poison ivy or listening to cyclists blandly saying, &#8220;On your left&#8221; as they zip past you. Again, it used to be a railroad track. So, it carried locomotives. It has many train bridges. The bridges have been covered with very nice thick wooden boards over the train bridges. There are no motorized vehicles allowed on the trail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3164\" src=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"380\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23a.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23a-300x265.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Before every single one of these bridges is a sign warning of the weight limit. Now, there are days when I&#8217;m not feeling super slim shall we say. As I see tandem land speed record breaking recumbent bikers zip past me and 4 cyclists coming the other way I do my best 5 ton to 10,000 lbs. conversion in my mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23h.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3165\" src=\"https:\/\/www.midwesternmeditations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/MMeM_v15i23h.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"247\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I guess my point is, I really think given the fact that no motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail and that these bridges once held LOCOMOTIVES, we&#8217;re gonna be OK here.
