B<\/span>rick and mortar stores have really been taking it on the nose lately. What with internet shopping, PayPal, eBay, Amazon and the like it’s downright tough for retail in the “real world” environment these days. Malls are becoming ghost towns and whoever comes up with a repurposing concept for those monstrosities will certainly be a success.<\/p>\n

Still, there are some things that the old brick and mortars can do to lessen the losses they’ve been dealt. The other day I found myself at our local JCPenney. Remember those? Maybe not, but at any rate this is one of those old huge dinosaurs that has parking for acres and I think gets more use out of Gus Macker tournaments these days.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I noticed one small improvement that could be made that might improve customer loyalty and shopping experiences.<\/p>\n

Ok, this picture was taken from the front of the store. If you squint a little, you can see the red circle I put to highlight the HANDICAPPED PARKING SIGN & SPACE<\/span><\/strong> which is all the way in the “North Forty” as we say in these parts!<\/p>\n

Something tells me there haven’t been many $250 tickets written for misuse of this spot….EVER, much less proper use!<\/p>\n
