L<\/span>ike so many things, I’m sure it’s another case of “it’s just me” or “only I have an issue” with this. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before and maybe even written about it. But, having driven to the ‘Big House’ twice in the past two days to deliver nearly late Christmas cards to the MAIN BRANCH of the Post Office here I used the same slot both times.<\/p>\n

Obviously, since the first drop on December 23rd I thought about that slot that evening and the next day at work. Did those signs mean LOCAL mail AND<\/strong> OUT-OF-TOWN mail were in fact, to be dropped into the same slot? Was there another slot I had missed? Or, was I supposed to flick local mail more toward the top of the slot and OUT-OF-TOWN mail more toward the bottom? Oi vey!<\/p>\n

Was this a case of a giant “&<\/strong>” missing? Perhaps the “&<\/strong>” should have gone or was meant to be, where the hole for the mail was! It was all so very disconcerting and I just couldn’t let it go. So, upon my 2nd drop of VERY nearly late Christmas cards into the slot I did take a picture of said slot for review or evidence as my life so often requires.<\/p>\n

Well, all there is to do now is wait and see who mentions or doesn’t mention the cards that come, or don’t. No, I’m kidding, I am very certain the cards will be delivered as the only hiccup in this whole process is as usual, me. I’ve always been a big fan of the U.S. Post Office. Personally, I loved the movie The Postman<\/a>.<\/p>\n
