L<\/span>ook, I’m a sucker for signing up for email lists and what not. The reasons are plenty but here are my top 2. First<\/strong>, I don’t fret about getting a lot of emails. See, unknown apparently by the unwashed masses, it is really easy to get rid of a bunch of emails you don’t want. It’s called, clicking the DELETE button. Done. Secondly<\/strong>, the reason I fall into so many emailing lists is due to the fact that when I do purchase something online I usually need it pretty damn quick in my world. So, I always agree to get emails from a supplier or merchant believing that it makes them put my order in the “quick” service lane or at least the real servicing queue and not some dead drop zone.<\/p>\n I know, I know, it’s allowing my superstition or belief in some higher shopping and marketing diety that drives me to commit such insanity. So, for the record, no, I do not believe that accepting all email list options helps me at all. Still, as cited in Reason 1, I don’t really care. I love to delete emails. It’s very satisfying in some cathartic way and fools me into thinking that I have actually accomplished something, like work. “Look, look at this overflowing Inbox that I managed to wrestle into compliance!”<\/p>\n Pathetic right? Yes. I know.<\/p>\n Speaking of these kinds of emails, has anyone else been getting a lot of the “Quick” or “LAST CHANCE” or “Secret Holiday Gifts – FAST” emails lately?
