MMeM, Vol. 9 Issue 71 – DOH!

So, you thought YOU had a bad day?

Let me start by saying that no one was injured in this accident. …and now we return to your non-scheduled sarcastic programming.

Now, originally I thought that this cement truck must have rolled over trying to keep up with the other vehicles on this road as it is common practice here that everyone keeps up with the timed traffic lights. A driver can travel all the way through this town of 110,000 on one of several main thoroughfares without ever having to use their brake pedal.

Now, it makes for some exciting driving as everyone is trying to qualify with a great heat time, but I’m not sure that timed lights are very good when it comes to stopping accidents. Come to think of it, I wonder if any insurance companies have studied the rate of accidents on streets with and without timed lights.

Yeah, we need some potholes fixed on that road but THAT is not gonna help so much.

Oh, and don’t you just LOVE our local PINK big rig tow trucks?
