MMeM, S16E6 – Monopolies
My Little Pony owns Snoop Dogg…

Look, I don’t know about you but I’m jonesn’ for anything NON-COVID-19 right about now. There’s literally nothing to do but stay in place and wait. How long do we wait? No one knows and that’s part of the collective insanity.

As I scroll through my list of topics from my to-do list of topics, I came across this one. This kind of falls into that area of there are no rules about monopolies. Am I the only one who remembers history class back in high school? I feel like we spent WAY too much time talking about breaking up monopolies and keeping monopolies in business from existing. Yet, today corporations just keep swallowing up other corporations and getting bigger and bigger and it never ends!

It leads to company name confusion and behemoth corporations that no one can even keep track of where they begin and where they end. So much corporate cannibalism that ones like this one a while back don’t even register in the public consciousness. The toy company, Hasbro, maker of Mr. Potato Head buys Death Row Records. Wait, what? My Little Pony now owns Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre?

Huh? What?
