MMeM, S16E1 – Big Little Entrepreneurs

So as everyone knows, Illinois made recreational marijuana legal starting on January 1, 2020. On that day, there were videos showing lines of people wrapping around blocks waiting to get into the dozen or so dispensaries throughout the state.

Early indications have been positive for the state bringing in millions of taxes on the sale of cannabis. That was to be expected as this state is quite adept at tazing its residents, be it on property, tobacco, fuel, schools, etc.

However, it was really encouraging to see that the enterprising spirit is still out there. To wit, Girl Scouts who had an enterprising troop who set up a cookie selling operation outside one of the dispensaries in Chicago. BRAVO girls! BRAVO!

To be fair, this type of approach would require a bit of pre-planning on the part of cannabis shoppers, but you have to admire their thinking of one-stop-shop marketing!
