MMeM, Vol. 8 Issue 21 – FINALLY!

…since Christmas Day back in the 2nd grade.

Today is a day that will live in infamy for rest of our days on this Earth in this country. As this day approached, I felt this surging feeling of anticpation and excitement. It was a feeling I don’t think I’ve had since Christmas Day back in the 2nd grade. Sheer reflief and joy are the only emotions that I feel today.

Finally, the advertising, the non-stop advertising of ulgy finger pointing, he-said she-said, they lied, we didn’t lie, mud slinging will come to an end. It has been an election of the ages. There can be no way the founding fathers intended this proud patriotism to be sparked by sheer relief and gratitude for an end.

Now sure, the recounts and hanging chads will be a beat-down to be sure. But, that’s another taxing process that will at least be a change of pace. The saddest part of all of this is the millions of dollars spent on this most annoying advertising. Just think of all of the good that could be done with that money instead of bashing, promoting, lying, posing, and pimping for votes. It’s sickening.

This blog prides itself on remaining non-political. Even with this post, we will continue to do so. But the process under which our country operates is beyond broken.
