MMeM, Vol. 10 Issue 35 – All Time LowS

NO he was for trust in…

Today’s media. Where to begin? Really? They are almost as exhausting as the government or governmental parties in mid-term election years. UGH.

I have a question though, does anyone, ever, IN the media, EVER, take a step back and look at what they are actually doing and/or saying while they are doing and/or saying it?

Take this screen shot from the other day. The graphic at the bottom caught my attention, obviously.

TRUST in media at all time low. Well DUH. Oh, so a media outlet is going to have a nice little introspective segment on themselves and their counterparts huh? How refreshin…wait, who are they talking to about this issue? Is that former Congressman Anthony Weiner?

OH well sure, he’s the go-to-guy to talk to about TRUST. For sure! IS THIS A JOKE?

Maybe they are trying to do a bit on the problem of how media EARNS the all time low of TRUST today by doing exactly this kind of thing? Anthony Weiner? Am I the only person that remembers why his title now starts with the word FORMER?

Ok, I’ll play dumb and refresh everyone’s memory. In 2011 he resigned from Congress over a sexting scandal involving Twitter/Texting a 21 year old female from WA. I will not describe the picture(s) shared in said exchange from Weiner, but let’s just say he was living up to his name. Next, in 2012 posing as a “Carlos Danger” he sexted a 22 year old female. Then while trying to RE-enter politics again, this time for mayor of NYC, he was caught and admitted to sexting 3, THREE, women in July 2013. Hey, I’ll give him kudos for never letting a 50 lb. surname like Weiner hold him back in politics!

Well, he did ditch the name for  a time choosing DANGER for a spell while outside of politics, but honestly, who could blame him for that? Maybe the chatter in the control room during this segment was, “NO, he was for trust in GOVERNMENT at all time low dammit!”
